Itinerary
On reaching the Bagdogra Airport or the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station meet with our representative who will assist your transfer from here to your respective hotel in Gangtok.
Gangtok is an epitome of prismatic beauty. Nestled with enigmatic mountains ranges, vibrant culture, and finger licking delicacies the paradise of the North-East is all set to render you speechless for it is a stunner.
On reaching Gangtok, check in at the hotel and rest for some time. After you have regained energy, you can go for an evening stroll at MG Marg. Gaze at the stars while you hold the hands of your beloved. Share some beautiful moments while you walk around the streets of Gangtok. Return to your room and go for a good night sleep.
Munch on your delicious breakfast and buckle up your shoes as you have a day full of exploration ahead. Start off the day with Bakthang Waterfalls, an incredible downpour of water visible by a nearby bridge. The crystal clear water gushes down through the green creepers making it a sight to be viewed at least once. Near to this is the Tashi View Point which is famous for awe-inspiring views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Sinilochu. Set in an unpolluted environment, it is a fabulous picnic spot for both the locals and the tourists. Following these two attractions is the Ganesh Tok which is a shrine of Lord Ganesha and also another viewpoint which offers spectacular sites of nearby mountains ranges and rivers. The site keeps your closer to the surreal environment, good for seeking the Almighty’s blessings and spending some good time together.
Up next is the Enchey Monastery which stands still even after the 200 years of its construction. It is said that Lama Dhrupthob Karpo, a saint known for his flying powers had showered his blessings over the temple. From her proceed to the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom which is a paradise for art lovers. This government establishment preserves traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim. Here you can buy the authentic woven blankets, wooden showpieces, shawls, etc.
If you wish to take a halt at some restaurant for having your lunch, please do so. Post lunch, visit the Do Drul Chorten Stupa which has 108 prayer wheels. Late Truslshi and Rimpoche built it in 1945. After this you are left with only three attractions which include the Institute of Tibetology, a Tibetan research centre which boasts of its jaw-dropping collection of artefacts belonging to Tibetan culture and Vajrayana Buddhism; Flower Exhibition Center, a heaven for nature lovers and last but not the least Ropeway & Banjhakri Falls, a waterfall spread over an area of 2 acres.

Get ready and leave for the Tsomgo Lake expedition. Located at an altitude of 12,400 ft above the sea level this lake is considered holy by the Sikkimese people and hence worshipped by them too. The blend of its scenic allure and legendary piousness makes it an all the more attractive location. It’s a perfect spot where you can get your camera out and go on clicking pictures of yourself crazily. The lake is also known for its changing colours. In summers it resorts to its aquamarine colour and in winters it freezes into a sparkling white glacial lake. Talking about the springtime, the blossomings flowers offer Tsomgo lake’s waters a riot of different colours. It is entirely blissful to witness this lake no matter in which season you do.
Near to this lake is the Baba Harbhajan Mandir which is a memorial of late Sepoy Harbhajan Singh who lost his life while saving that of a group of mules. It is believed that his soul looks after the soldiers who are posted in the nearby areas. The soul warns them of the upcoming danger. This was the end of your exploration day. Get back to your hotel, spend the evening at leisure and stay here overnight.
Post breakfast, proceed towards Pelling. Amidst the dense forests away from the humdrum of the city is Pelling a perfect place to spend time in tranquillity with your other half. Seconding Gangtok, Pelling is emerging as a next most popular destination in Sikkim. While you are on your way here, visit the Namchi Char Dham Temple and the Samdruptse Statue. While the former is both a religious and cultural centre dedicated to Lord Shiva, the latter is the elegant statue of Guru Padmasambhava situated on a “wish full filling hill.” Both of the sites are a must visit.
Next take a diversion towards Ravangla, a small tourist town in South Sikkim. Finding itself at an elevation of 8,000 ft this is a newly found tourist destination which is quite picturesque hence get ready for some amazing clicks. Here, visit the Buddha Park and the Temi Tea Gardens. The Buddha Park features a giant statue of Maitreya Buddha with giant mountains in the backdrop that offer a panoramic view of the whole site. Also, a walk through Temi Tea Gardens would be quite refreshing. They are one of the most beautiful tea gardens that our country posses.
After the sightseeing, continue with your drive to Pelling. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Call it a day by dosing off.
On the 5th day of your tour, explore Pelling in the best way possible. Have your breakfast and later start your local excursion. Firstly visit the Darap Valley, a small village seated in an entirely peaceful environment best suited for the newlywed lovebirds; followed by the Rimbi falls which are located near the Darap Valley. A small yet beautiful waterfall is the source of water for the Rimbi River famous for fishing and swimming. Up next is the Rock Garden, covered with canopies of rocks and benches beside the river for you to sit and witness the enthralling beauty of the place. After chilling at the Rock Garden move towards the Kanchenjunga waterfalls. They are a struggle to reach at but trust us the pain will be gone after you’ll see the waters rushing through the rock cuts. Your last destination before you hog onto the yummy lunch is the Khecheopalri sacred Lake. It is a pilgrimage site for the Buddhists and the Hindus. Furthermore, it gains its popularity from its legendary wish-fulfilling powers.
Half of the day is over,and it’s time for a mid-day meal. Finish off with your lunch and visit the Rabdentse Ruins which are evidence of the destruction caused by the invasion of Gurkha army in the province of Sikkim’s former capital, i.e. Rabdentse. The second last destination for the day is Pema Yangtse monastery which dates back to the year 1705. One of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim it houses around 108 monks. End your Pelling tour with a visit to Helipad ground which offers an iconic view of the neighbouring mountain ranges. The day might have been tiring. Return to your hotel and crash down. Get a quiet sleep and recollect all the memories of the day spent here with your other half. This is the last night of your honeymoon, and today you’ll be heading back to your daily routine.
