The first sightseeing attraction is the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, one of India’s highest waterfalls, which gives tourists a view of falling water from above. Then, travel through a network of the wondrous Mawsmai Caves with its roof and floor formations giving it a spooky look. On your way back to Shillong, you can see the Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak, giving a bird’s eye view of the entire city and the rolling hills. Following an early breakfast, go on a full day’s trip to Jowai—a beautifully nestled district headquarters of the Jaintia Hills. After an early breakfast, proceed to Dawki, a beautiful little town located at the border between India & Bangladesh. Here, you will be enchanted by the clear water of the Umangot River, one of India’s cleanest rivers. Go for a boat ride on the river to see the beautiful view. Move to your next destination, Mawlynnong, which is recognized as “The cleanest village in Asia.” Walk around and see how clean and united the village is—sightseeing the living root bridge, a biological wonder, and the balancing rock, an architectural wonder. Return to Shillong in the evening and spend the night in your hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Guwahati. On the way, stop at one of the holiest temples of the Indian subcontinent, namely the Kamakhya Temple of Guwahati, which is dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. The temple is open from the morning at 08:00 AM up to 01:00 PM and then from 03:00 PM to the night. After this, you can proceed to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station on a further journey, ending the enchanting tour of Shillong and its nearby places.
