Tsirang – The Abode of Punatsang River

How to Reach Tsirang
By Air
Paro International Airport is the only international airport in Bhutan. If you are planning to reach Tsirang by air from India, you can book your airt tickets to Paro from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, Bodhgaya Airport in Gaya (Bihar), Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri (West Bengal), and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati (Assam).
As you land at Paro International Airport, you can reach Tsirang by undertaking a roadway journey. Covering a total distance of around 209km, this roadway journey would take you around 6 hours to complete.
By Train
New Jalpaiguri, New Alipurduar, Siliguri Town, and Hasimara in West Bengal would be the closest Indian railway stations to reach Tsirang by train. Though you cannot complete the entire journey by train, you can embark on a road journey from any of these railway stations through the Indian town of Jaigaon and Phuentsholing town in Bhutan.
By Road
Jaigaon in West Bengal’s Alipurduar district would be the best option to reach Tsirang by road. From this town, you can enter Bhutan through Phuentsholing. From this Bhutanese town, you should drive along the Wangdue-Tsirang Highway to traverse around 306km (8 Hours) to reach Tsirang by road.
