Haa Town
A flourishing town seated at an elevation of 3,988m, Haa Town in Bhutan shares its boundaries with Paro district, Chhukha and Samtse. Located around 70km from the Paro Valley on the Dantak road, this scenic town unfurls its beauty along the banks of the Haa Chhu River, and forms two distinct sectors – Northern and Southern half.
While the Northern half is dotted with the bustling Central Bazaar, several eateries, and tiny shops, the Southern Half is occupied by the Indian Military Training (IMTRAT) Camp and Bhutanese army training camp. Within the IMTRAT camp, there is a golf course with the Lhakhang Karpo Monastery within a proximity to the camp. The Southern Half of Haa Town is guarded by three towering hills called the Trinity of Chenresig, Chana Dorje, and Jampelyang.
