Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our associate who will then accompany you on the 3 hours 30 minutes (142.7 km) road trip to Phuentsholing.
Once you reach your hotel, you can complete your check-in formalities and head out for the sightseeing. The first destination of the city is the Bhutan Gate. The gate is known for its architectural brilliance and many tourists come here to click pictures with the gate in the background. It is also the only gate for the exit and entry between Bhutan and India.
Post the tour of the gate, head to the market in the city, where you can spend some leisure time shopping for souvenirs to take back home.
Later on, head back to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Have a healthy breakfast at the hotel and then continue with your sightseeing tour. Your first destination for the day is the Karbandi Monastery. The monastery houses life-size idols that are worshiped by the locals. Here, couples with infertility issues come to be blessed with a child, from all over the world. The lush garden on the complex houses 8 Tibetan-Buddhist Stupas and also from here you can enjoy the view of the Bengal Plains.
Your next destination is the Zangto Pelri Lhakhang. This is a religious hotspot that is filled with monks chanting prayers and hymns. Here on the ground floor, there is a Guru Rinpoche’s replica with 8 differently manifested life-size idols and paintings that depict the life of Buddha.
The final destination for the day is the Torsa River Side. Come here to catch the sunset and dip your legs in the river and just relax. You will feel away from all the daily life routine and feel at peace. Do look for migratory birds that fly over the skyline of the river.

Today you will be travelling for 3 hours 54 minutes (147.3 km) via road, to Thimphu. So, have early breakfast at the hotel and commence on your journey.
After arriving at the hotel, complete your check-in formalities and then start with your city tour. The first destination on your list is the Trashi Chho Dzong. It is also known as Tashichho Dzong, which is a grand fort that serves as a venue for the country’s biggest annual festival, Tsechu. It is known for its white-red-gold combination of colours and tiered roofs.
You can then spend some leisure time at the Thimphu Market and shop for local artefacts from Thimphu.
Post this fun day, return to your hotel for the overnight stay.
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and then continue with your city tour. The first destination of the day is the Tango Goemba. The place was originally built in the 15th century and then renovated in in 2016. The place is a Buddhist study centre and to reach the place you will have to trek uphill. Here you will also witness a crystal brought in from Tibet, which is used for meditation.
Your next visit is to the Changangkha Lhakhang. This is a popular Buddhist temple and is especially visited by parents to receive blessings for their new-born. Its interiors are full of murals that depict different stories.
The last destination in Thimphu is the Dechen Phodrang. The place was a Dzong earlier but was destroyed in a fire. It is now a state school, which teaches around 250 students. The highlight of the place is the main chapel, which is full of murals and paintings that date back around 800 years.
You can then return to your hotel to catch up on some rest.
Today you will be taking yet another 1 hour 52 minutes (70.2 km) road trip to Wangdue. So, have early breakfast at the hotel and commence with your journey.
The first destination you will visit in the city after your check-in process at the hotel is the Jigme Singye Wangchuk National Park. You will spend an entire day here amidst the natural beauty of the surrounding and the animals of the park. Here you can spot endangered animals, such as Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Black Bear, Blue Sheep, and Takin. The place attracts hundreds of tourists every year.

Today you will be travelling to Punakha via road, which is 2 hours 26 minutes (84.9 km) away from Thimphu. Upon your arrival at the hotel, you can complete your check-in formalities and then start with your sightseeing tour.
Your first destination is a trek for the day. The Samtengang Trek is an easy trek that is suitable for all kinds of trekkers. The trail of this trek is its highlight point; it offers some of the best views of the town and is a must-visit trek for everyone visiting Bhutan.
After the trek, you must be tired, so best is to head back to the hotel to catch up on some rest.
After a delicious first meal of the day at the hotel, continue with your sightseeing tour. Today you will visit the Temple of Sha Radap first.
The temple is also known as Rada Lhakhang and it is built for the locals to pay their respects to the deity of the temple, Sha Radap. But a word of caution is that tourists are expected to dress respectably and modestly while visiting the temple.
Your next destination is the Adha and Rukha Villages. The villages are a perfect place for camping and you can even visit the homes of farmers here and enjoy the homestays. Your last destination in the city is the Phobjikha Valley. This is a distinct valley because it is shaped like a bowl. This is because of an existing glacier that was here. The place is heaven for nature lovers and hikers. Also, a number of hiking and walking trails are set up here where one can encounter the most beautiful views of birds and landscapes.

Post the tour of the temple, visit Chimi Lhakhang. This is a Buddhist monastery, which is believed to be the place where a Buddhist monk defeated a demon and trapped it inside a rock here. Here you will find phallus symbols strewn everywhere on the walls of the temple.
Your last destination is Mo Chhu. This river is considered to be a sacred river in Bhutan and is of utmost importance. Apart from its religious beliefs, the river is famous for river rafting and kayaking activities.

Today you will be travelling to Paro after your breakfast routine at the hotel. Upon your arrival at the hotel in Paro, complete your check-in process, take some rest and then head out for the sightseeing tour.
The first destination of the day is the Chele La Pass. The pass is the only motorable pass in all of Bhutan; you can choose to reach the pass by foot or by driving to the highest point. From the top, you can enjoy the view of the incredible Mt. Jomolhari and Mount Jitchu Drake.
After the thrilling experience at the pass, visit the Paro Market and spend some time shopping for local souvenirs for your loved ones.
Post this tiring day, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
Today you will continue your sightseeing tour in Paro after breakfast at the hotel. The first destination on your list is the Tiger’s Nest (Paro Taktsang). This place is amongst the top Paro tourist attractions and legend says that Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress and hence the name Tiger’s Nest. The guru then meditated here and hence the place holds religious importance. It is located on a cliff and the view from here is breathtaking.
Your next destination is the Namgay Artisanal Brewery. The brewery is famous amongst the locals and when you visit the place do try the Bhutan Dark Ale and the Bhutan Red Rice Lager. They are the most famous drinks in Bhutan.
The last visit for the day is to the Zuri Dzong Fort. It is one of Bhutan’s oldest dzong built in the mid-fourteenth century. It is a five storey structure still stands strong. It is protected by double walls and a bridge and is one of the best places to visit in Paro.
After this satisfying day, you can head back to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

The place is the perfect example of marvellous Bhutanese architecture. It is built with precision one of its high points is that the structures here are interlocked firmly without the use of nails.
Your next destination is the Drukgyal Dzong Monastery. The place was once a fortress and a Buddhist monastery. But after the fire of 1950 it turned into a ruin. Although the ruins are also so beautiful that history lovers visit the place very often. This former fortress also provides a splendid view of the Chomolhari Mountains.
The last destination of Bhutan is the Tamchoe Monastery. This monastery is built between Paro and Thimphu and it dates back to the 15th century. It is perched atop a small hill and is built by the help of a small iron bridge. One can cross the iron bridge, which was once washed away in the flood of 1969.

You will be arriving at the Paro International Airport and from there, our representative will lead you to the town of Phuentsholing. You will be taking a 3 hours 30 minutes (142.7 km) road trip to the town and we bet you will fall in love with the view on your journey.

Upon your arrival at the hotel in Thimphu, you can complete your check-in formalities and head out to explore the city. Your first destination will be the National Institute of Traditional Medicine. The institute has been preserving herbs and animal parts used in traditional Bhutanese ointments here and these medicines are collected from the Himalayas for ages. Here diseases are treated using these ancient practices. A visit here will give you in-depth knowledge of traditional medicine in people’s lives.
Later on, you can take a stroll through the Market of Thimphu and spend your leisure time interacting with locals and shopping for your loved ones. Post which, head back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Post a healthy breakfast at the hotel, you can continue with your sightseeing tour. The first destination in the city will be the National Library of Thimphu. It was established in 1967 and it shares books about the rich history and culture of the place. All aspects of Bhutan’s culture are preserved here and there are books on every topic for the public’s easy accessibility.
Later on, you will head to the Changangkha Lhakhang. The place is a site that over flows with religious faith and purity. It is a spiritual hotspot where devotees from all over the world flock. There are parents who come here especially to find a name for their new born babies.

It was built in 1638 and was the most visible feature of the country. It provides a wonderful view of the overlooking rivers Dang Chhu and Punakha Chhu. It is now an Army Centre and the place is definitely worth a tour.
After the tour of the Dzong, you can spend some time shopping at the local market and interacting with the locals and the monks.
By the evening, head back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.
On day 5, you will travel Punakha via road, which is located 2 hours 25 minutes (84.9 km) away. So, have an early morning breakfast at the hotel and start with your journey.
The first destination in the town of Punakha will be the Samtengang Trek. The trek is a short and easy trek to Wangduephodrang Dzongkhag. The altitude that you need to cover is not more than 1900 meters. The trek is pleasant and soothing and the trail offers some of the best views of the town.
Post this tiring trek, you must get some rest at your hotel and have some delicious dinner.
After a delicious first meal of the day at the hotel, you can head out to continue exploring the city. Your first destination will be the Temple of Sha Radap. The temple is also referred to as Rada Lhakhang. It houses the image of the guardian deity of the region known as Sha Radap and locals often pay a visit to this temple to seek blessings.
Your next visit will be to the Gasleo and Nahee Village. These villages an ideal option for a nice picnic during the daytime. You can meet the locals here and see what life is like in the rural Bhutanese village.
The last destination on your list is the Phobjikha Valley, which is one of the few glacial valleys in the country. The valley is shaped like a bowl and this is because of the glacier that existed here before. The valley is a must-visit for every tourist and especially for all nature-lovers, hikers and trekkers.

Your last destination in the city is the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Amidst the natural landscaped of Punakha, lies the second longest suspension bridge of the country. It is built on the river Po Chu and it connects Punakha Dzong with Punakha City. If you are seeking a bit of thrill and adrenaline pump in your body, you must visit the bridge.
After this long day of sightseeing, head back to your hotel for the night stay.
Today you will be travelling to Paro, via road. So, have an early breakfast and commence with your road trip. Upon your arrival at the hotel, complete your check-in routine and then start with the city tour.

Your next visit is to the Dzongdrakha Goemba. This is a serene site that is also known as Mini Taktsang. It has an old façade but it is still a popular spot amongst the tourists. The place has four temples and is believed to be blessed by Guru Rinpoche himself.
The last destination on your list is the Tachog Lhakhang Bridge. It is the first ever bridge to have ever been built in Bhutan and it gives a fantastic view of the surroundings. It is made up of iron and wood and one can walk to the nearby hills for a complete view of the bridge.

Upon your arrival at your hotel in Phuentsholing, you can complete your check-in process and head out for the sightseeing tour.
Your first destination of the day will be the Bhutan Gate. The Bhutan Gate is one of the most photographed places in the town. It is also the main entrance and exit gate from and to India. The huge structure is worth a visit.
After admiring the gate you can head out for some shopping at the Phuentsholing Market. You can also purchase souvenirs from here to take back home.
Later on, head back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.
Have your breakfast at the hotel and then continue with your sightseeing tour. On day 2 you will be heading to the Phuentsholing Viewpoint.
Also known as the Peeple Drangra, the place is best visited during the daytime, especially in the morning. This helps you get a clear view of the entire town and the Bengal Plains. You will also spot the hill gradients and the Torsa River flowing below.
Your next destination is the Torsa River Side. The river is undoubtedly among the best places to visit near Phuentsholing. It can be easily reached on foot because vehicles are not allowed on the track. You can spend some time on the river and enjoy the beauty of the place. In addition to that, you will also find a basketball court at the end of the walking path. The highlight of the place is the panoramic view of the town.
Lastly, you will be heading towards the Karbandi Monastery. This monastery is a scenic vantage point that boasts of life-size idols of Rinpoche, Shakyamuni and Shabdrung Ngawang. On Day 3, you will have an early morning breakfast at the hotel and leave for Thimphu. The journey is 3 hours 55 minutes (147.3 km) long and you will be directly reaching your hotel in Thimphu.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will complete your check-in process and then start exploring the city. Your first destination of the day will be The National Memorial Chorten. The Chorten is basically a Memorial Stupa of Thimphu. It is also known as the Thimphu Chorten and it is located on the Doeboom Lam at the end of the city. Go there for its architecture and you will be in awe of it.
After the visit of the Chorten, you can head back to your hotel to catch up on some rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can continue exploring the city. Your first destination of the day will be the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory.
Here you can see how the locals make use of the traditional methods of producing paper. The factory manufactures the most authentic and the best quality Bhutanese paper. The factory workers take you through the whole process of papermaking and it is quite fun to witness the process.
Your next destination in the town will be the Trashi Chhoe Dzong. The Dzong is a fortress and also a Buddhist monastery. It is known for its structure and the murals.
The last destination in the city is the National Folk Heritage Museum. The museum was established in 2001. It is set in 3 storeys of timber and rammed earth building. The highlight of the place is that the museum artefacts transform seasonally, so every time you visit, you will get to see something unique.

Your next destination is the Tiger’s Nest (Paro Taktsang). One of the most famous and destinations of the entire kingdom of Bhutan is the Tiger’s Nest. It is said that Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress and meditated here and hence it holds a lot of spiritual influence on the lives of the locals. You can hike or ride through the pines to reach this breathtaking cliff-side monastery.
Your last tourist spot is the Zuri Dzong Fort. This ancient fortress is a five storey structure. It is protected by double walls and a bridge. The locals believe that there is also a cave here where Buddha once meditated.

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative. Our representative will then accompany you on your road trip to Phuentsholing, which is 3 hours 30 minutes (142.7 km) away.
After you reach your hotel, you can take some rest and then immediately start your sightseeing tour. The first destination for the day is the Bhutan Gate. The gate is the only exit and entry gate between India and Bhutan and many tourists from around the world come here to click pictures at the gate. The gate is also an architectural beauty that will please you further.
After adoring the gate you can head to the Phuentsholing Market. The market offers a number of products to choose from, be it artefacts, footwear, clothing or even show pieces.
Post this, you can return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Start your day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel and then continue with your sightseeing tour. The first destination of the day will be the Zangto Pelri Lhakhang. This place is a religious hotspot and many locals visit this place to seek the blessings of the idols. On the ground floor, there is Guru Rinpoche’s replica and only the top floor you will find the main idol of Amitabha.

Later on, you will be visiting the Karbandi Monastery. The monastery is a scenic point that houses life-size idols of Rinpoche, Shakyamuni and Shabdrung Ngawang. The lush garden in the complex consists of 8 Tibetan-Buddhist Stupas and it is said that couples with infertility issues come here to be blessed with a child.
After this tiring day, head back to your hotel for the night stay.
Today you will be travelling to Thimphu, which is 3 hours 54 minutes (147.3 km) away from Phuentsholing. Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel and commence with the road trip immediately. Upon your arrival at the hotel, you can complete your check-in formalities and head out for the sightseeing tour. You will first visit the National Memorial Chorten. The Chorten is a Memorial Stupa, which is also known as the Thimphu Chorten. It was built in the honour of the third Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck and is one of the quintessential landmarks of the city.
Your next destination in the city is the Trashi Chhoe Dzong. The Dzong is a fortress and is also a Buddhist monastery. The two-storey structure is of the white washed building and the three storied towers on all the four corners boast of golden roofs.

Have early morning breakfast, because it is time for yet another road trip to Wangdue. The distance you need to cover is 1 hour 52 minutes (70.2 km). Complete your check-in formalities as soon as you reach the hotel and then head out for the city tour.
Your first destination in the city is the Wangduephodrang Dzong. The Dzong, built in 1638 but it was destroyed in the fire of 2012. Now the Dzong is an Army Base and you can go there to view its Archery Ground where competitions are held.
Post this tour you can visit the Wangdue Market and spend your leisure time shopping. Later on, head back to your hotel for the overnight stay.
After early morning breakfast, you will leave for your road trip to Punakha, which is 2 hours 26 minutes (84.9 km) away. Once you have completed your check-in formalities at the hotel you can start on your sightseeing tour. The first destination on your list is the Samtengang Trek. The trek is suitable for amateurs and should take you an entire day to trek uphill. The trail is beautiful and the view from the top is even better, so do not miss out on this beautiful opportunity.

Follow your breakfast routine at the hotel and then restart your sightseeing tour. The first destination for today is the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. This place is a Buddhist temple that was built to ward off all the evil spirits. The temple complex is an architectural marvel that is definitely something to look out for.
Your next destination is Mo Chhu. This is an extremely important river in this Himalayan nation and is a popular place to go kayaking or river rafting.

On your arrival at the Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative. You will then be accompanied by him on to your hotel in Phuentsholing. The road trip is 3 hours 30 minutes (142.7 km) and the roads are so beautiful that you will be glued to the window.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, complete your check-in process and head out to explore the city. You will be visiting the Bhutan Gate today. The architecture of the gate will leave you spell-bounded and you will instantly want to pose in front of the gate for a new profile picture. The gate is the only entry and exit gate for India-Bhutan.
After you visit the gate you can take a tour of the local market and then head back to your hotel by the evening for dinner and night stay.
After the first meal of the day at the hotel, you will leave for Thimphu. The journey from Thimphu is 3 hours 54 minutes (147.3 km) long, via road. Upon your arrival at the hotel, complete your check-in process and then star with your sightseeing tour.
The first destination in the city is the visit to the Motithang Takin Preserve. The preserve was basically a zoo but due to the largest preservation of the mountain animal, Takin it became a preserve. It is said that the 4th king did not believe in enclosing animals in a zoo hence he established natural preservation. In fact, the preserve also shelters Barking Deer and the Sambar Deer.
After the tour of the preserve, head back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.
Your first meal of the day will be at your hotel and later on, you will head out to continue your city tour. The first destination of the day is the Tashichho Dzong.
The Dzong is a remarkable architectural structure. It currently houses the throne room and seat of the government and is also known as the Thimphu Dzong. But locals also refer to it as the ‘fortress of the glorious religion’.
After the tour of the fortress, head to the Buddha Dordenma. The place holds one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. It is an architectural wonder that is adored by tourists from over the world. It is 50meters in height and is gilded in gold.

Today you will be setting out on yet another road trip to Wangdue, which is 1 hour 51 minutes (70.2 km) away from Thimphu. So make sure you have an early breakfast at the hotel and embark on your journey.
Upon your arrival at the hotel you can complete your check-in process and after some rest, head out for the sightseeing tour. Your first visit will be to the Jigme Singye Wangchuk National Park. Here you will be close to nature and encounter many migratory birds and some uncommon animals. Today you will be travelling to Paro, after a healthy breakfast at the hotel. You will be taking a road trip to your city and reaching the hotel directly. Upon your arrival, you can complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and after some rest, head out to explore the city.
The first destination on your list is the Tachog Lhakhang Bridge. The bridge is the first bridge to have ever been built in Bhutan. The bridge offers a fantastic view of the surroundings. Welcome to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Upon arrival, you will be received by our representative who will escort you to the hotel. The capital city is around 2-hour drive from the Paro International airport of Bhutan. Check into the hotel. Relax, freshen up and then our representative will take you to one of the most fascinating attractions of Thimphu, Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten). Dating back to 1972, it was built in honour of Bhutan’s head of state. It’s beautiful architecture looks like a classical Tibetan stupa capped with a sun and a crescent moon. Its interiors are elaborately carved. We will also take you to Kuenselphodrang, where you will see a huge statue of Shakyamuni Buddha surrounded by lovely valley and mountains. Built in 2015 to commemorate Bhutan’s fourth king, Jigme Singye Wangchuck’s birthday, the statue towers to a height of 51 m. It is a beautiful gold-plated bronze statue. The interior houses around 100,000 Buddha icons.
