For those planning a train ride to Kolkata, they can book tickets till Kolkata, New Jalpaiguri, New Alipurduar, or Hasimara railways stations in West Bengal. Upon arrival at any of these railway stations, visitors can take a roadways journey to reach a town called Jaigaon in West Bengal’s Alipurduar district. Jaigaon is located at the Indo-Bhutan border. Once in the town, visitors can get a Bhutanese Visa easily, and finally make their way to Bhutan through Phuentsholing.

Visitors planning to enjoy their train journey to Assam, can deboard the train either at Bongaigaon Railway Station or Guwahati Railway Station. In case, deboarding at Bongaigaon station, visitors can hit the roads to enter Bhutan through the Gelephu point, which is almost 50km (1 hours’ drive) away from Bongaigaon. And for the visitors to Assam, they can take a road trip from Guwahati and find their way into Bhutan through Samdrup Jongkhar point; 150km (3 hours’ drive) away from Guwahati.
