How to Reach Bhutan from Hyderabad by Air

Both of these carriers have direct as well as connecting flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, Bodhgaya Airport in Gaya, Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal, and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati (Assam). You can book flights to Bhutan’s Paro International Airport from any of these airports almost every day. These airports also have connecting flights that flies via Kathmandu in Nepal.

How to Reach Bhutan from Hyderabad by Train

Since Hyderabad is located centrally, it has regular trains that connects even the remotest cities in India. However, the city doesn’t have any direct railway connectivity to reach Bhutan, the Last Himalayan Kingdom! In order to reach Bhutan from Hyderabad by train, you must travel either to West Bengal or Assam.

If you plan to reach Bhutan via West Bengal, you should undertake a train journey to Kolkata, New Jalpaiguri, New Alipurduar, or Hasimara railway station. From Assam, you can opt for either Guwahati or Bongaigaon railway stations.

Upon reaching any of the above-mentioned railway stations, you have to complete the remaining part of the journey via road to finally reach Bhutan. From West Bengal, you can enter the Land of Thunder Dragons through Jaigaon-Phuentsholing entry point. In case, you are travelling to Assam, you can enter Bhutan through Gelephu or Samdrup Jongkhar entry points. The former is around 50km (1 hours’ drive) away from Bongaigaon, and the latter is 150km (3 hours’ drive) away from Guwahati.

How to Reach Bhutan from Hyderabad by Road

If you are more on the adventure side, you must plan a road trip from Hyderabad to Bhutan; this enthralling journey will take you through a couple of Indian states and an array of Indian cities, towns and villages.
