Itinerary
Welcome to one of the seven holiest lands in India. A name that literally translates to the ‘door to Gods’, Haridwar has a mystical charm to itself. On the first day, our representative will greet you and arrange for transfers from either the airport/ hotel/ home or railway station in Haridwar to the tiny wonderland of Barkot. It is a town almost untouched by commercialisation.
The route from Haridwar to Barkot will take you from the magical hill town of Mussoorie. Be prepared to get lost in the stillness of the laps of nature. Your trip to this place is not complete till you visit the Mussoorie Lake and Kempty falls. The lake is where you can spend some time birdwatching and also opt for boating. It is an ideal picnic spot. The falls on the other hand is for all those tourists who love a rush. There are plenty of small trinket shops from where you can pick up souvenirs for your friends and family.
After visiting all the local sightseeing places in Mussoorie, continue your journey to Barkot. As soon as you reach, check in at the hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.
A new day calls for an early start. Have breakfast at the hotel in Barkot and head out for a day excursion to Yamunotri. Our representative will arrange local transportation to the Jankichatti / Phoolchatti from where you will start to trek your way to the Yamunotri temple. The trek is an easy one covering 6 kms each side. However, if you are not comfortable travelling on foot, you can choose to ride the palanquin or even on the back of a horse.
When you make it atop, head to the temple. But before you enter the main temple, have a bath in the Surya kund. There are other pools as well but Surya Kund is the most significant thermal water spring. Then, pay your respects at the Divya Shila which is a huge rock pillar.
Finally, make your way to the temple. This gem of a place has one of the best-kept secrets of Indian mythology. It is the origin point of the second sacred river in India- the Yamuna. In the evening, enjoy the unparalleled vistas of nature and trek back down to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and head out for some sightseeing. Visit the most famed Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is among the oldest and most sacred shrines in Uttarkashi. You can also visit the Shakti temple that is built opposite the Vishwanath temple. It is sited on the banks of the Bhagirathi river. Do not miss out on seeing the 1500 years old trident here, which is one of the oldest remains of Uttarakhand. It is said that Goddess Durga threw this same Trishul or trident and killed the devils.
After sightseeing in Uttarkashi, get back to the hotel room the rest of the night is at leisure.
Have a stomach filling breakfast and check out from the hotel in Uttarkashi. Start your day early again and head to the next important pilgrim spot- Gangotri. On your way, you will cross the mesmerising Harsil valley. It is an untouched picturesque destination that will have the nature lover in you be ecstatic with joy.
On arrival at Shree Gangotri, head to take a holy dip in the chilling and sacred Ganga waters. It is a revered site for it is said that Lord Shiva had released the enormous river from the locks of his hair here and that is how Goddess Ganga descended.
In the day, take some time to explore the nearby locations and finally make your way towards Bhojbasa via Chirbasa. The journey to the campsite is laid along the roaring Bhagirathi River making it extremely scenic. Upon arrival in Bhojwassa, enjoy a stay at the banks of the river with a delicious dinner meal and spend the overnight comfortably.
Wake up in natures lap at the foothills of the Himalayas today. The views of river flowing on one end and the sun rising over Bhagirathi group of peaks is how your morning will look like. Have a healthy breakfast and brace yourself for a long day with physical activity ahead.
Start the amazing trek to Gaumukh. It is the source of the Ganges where you can see the water of Ganga trickling down from the glaciers. The Gaumukh Glacier is the origin source of the Holy river Ganga. It is therefore held in special regard by devout pilgrims. It is said to resemble a cow’s mouth and hence gets the name Gaumukh.
In the evening, trek back to the base camp in Bhojbasa and spend the night there.
The journey so fat has certainly been eventful. So, this day will get you some rest and let you refuel your energy. After devouring some delicious breakfast on this day, pack up from the campsite and start your trek towards Gangotri. Upon reaching there, hop in the car and start driving towards Uttarkashi.
Upon reaching Uttarkashi, check in at the hotel and spend the night peacefully in the comfort of the cosy room.
This day commences with a healthy breakfast at the hotel in Uttarkashi. Then, check out of the hotel and drive down to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgoan. The route will take you through lush landscapes with river Mandakini flowing at Tilwara. If you continue to drive alongside the river, it will take you to Guptakashi.
Upon reaching, you will first visit and pray at the popular shrine of the Ardh Narishwar temple. As the name suggests, this is an ancient Hindu temple whose idol is a representation of half man and half woman symbolising Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
After visiting the local sightseeing places in this faultless town, head to the hotel. Check in and look forward to a peaceful overnight stay.
Today what you will be experiencing is a feeling that is out of this world. After having breakfast, put on your comfortable shoes and hop in the car for a short scenic drive through the hilly terrains that will take you to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, a local jeep will take you to Gaurikund, which is the commencement point of the trek to Kedarnath. However, if you have booked a helicopter ride, you will be dropped off at the helipad.
Reach atop at the Kedarnath temple that is enveloped in the mighty Garhwal Himalayas. The zeal of devotees to get a single glimpse of the lingam and the sound of prayers reverberating makes for an unmatched experience.
After performing all rituals, bask in the glory of nature as the views from atop are nothing you may have ever seen. Later, follow the same route and get back to Sonprayag. From there, transfers to the hotel will be arranged for and you can rest for the night in your cosy room.

Upon arrival in Badrinath, check-in at the hotel, get fresh and head out to explore. First, visit the iconic Badrinath temple. It is set on the bank of the river Alaknanda. The important ritual is to take a dip at the Taptkund before entering the temple premises. The kund is essentially a hot water sulphur spring that is considered miraculous as the river flowing alongside is ice-cold. It also has curative properties for various skin-related ailments.
Next, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Mana village where the Indo-Mongolian tribe reside. Spend time exploring the fields, visiting the houses of the locals and taking a glimpse of their culture. It is also the last Indian village settlement before Tibet. Bhum Pul is set on the other end of Mana village where a massive rock forming a natural bridge. The roaring Saraswati river flows right below and it is a magnificent sight to see.
Then, visit the Vyas Gufa. It is also set close to the Mana village. The Vyas Gufa is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is said to have written the Mahabharata and the puranic commentaries.
Get back to the hotel then and rest it out for the night.
