Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check-in at the hotel and get ready to visit the famous sightseeing spots. Visit the two most popular temples – Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is an ancient temple in India set on the bank of sacred river Ganga. As the name suggests, the main deity is known by the name Vishvanatha which means Ruler of The Universe. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one among the only 12 jyotirlingas in the country.

The Shakti temple is situated right opposite the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and is known for its gigantic Trishul or Trident.

After visiting these iconic spots in Uttarkashi, return back to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

The second day shall be a long one. Hence, we suggest you start your day early with a scrumptious morning breakfast and head out for a long drive to Gangotri. It is one among the main religious spots of the Char Dham pilgrimage areas.

Make a quick stop at Gangnani to take a dip in Garam Kund. Bathing in this pool of hot water that has sulphur is said to have scientific as well as spiritual significance. Then, drive to Gangotri via the Harsil Valley. It is a pretty town offering a cool and adventurous environment and is best for people in search of tranquillity.

Finally, arrive at Shree Gangotri that is perched on the Himalayan range. Its intimate connection with River Ganga makes it one of the holiest places in the country. You can also enjoy sightseeing and unwind in the natural surroundings. In the evening, attend or perform the rituals and drive back to Uttarkashi.

Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, have a lip-smacking meal and spend the night at the hotel comfortably.

This may be the last day of Gangotri travel package from Haridwar, yet it is a fun-filled day. Wake up early, have breakfast and check out from the hotel in Uttarkashi. You will commence your journey back to Haridwar, but on your way, take a halt at Rishikesh.

The exquisite setting of the fast-flowing Ganges River amidst the forested hills further adds to the charm of the towns. Rishikesh is not all things spirituality but also is for those who love nature and adventure. Visit the many temples and ashrams in the town and especially, cross the massive iron suspension bridge- the Lakshman Jhula. As it is said, it is built over the same spot where Lord Lakshman crossed the Ganga river.
