Itinerary
On your first day of this religious holiday tour, meet with our representative at the decided spot, Delhi airport / railway station and commence your journey to Haridwar. The city is dotted with ancient temples, heritage sites, vibrant markets, other religious institutions and fabulous eating places.
Upon arrival in Haridwar, check into the hotel and freshen up. Then, head to visit the Mansa Devi Temple. As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi who is a form of strength. It is perched atop the Bilwa Parvat on the Sivalik Hills and the views are mesmerising.
Then, head to Har Ki Pauri- a famous ghat on the banks of the Ganges. You cannot afford to miss the grand Ganga aarti and float earthen Diyas in the Ganga, which is the major landmark of this holy city.
Later, return back to the hotel and spend the night in Haridwar.
The second day of your Char Dham tour plan comprises of great surprises. In the morning, have a nourishing breakfast and check out of your hotel in Haridwar.
Meet our representative and start your drive for Barkot. It is a place that is yet not commercialised and untouched by tourists. The weather here is generally pleasant, even during summers. The route to Barkot from Haridwar will take you via the queen of hills- the city of Mussoorie. En-route, visit the famous Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Falls.
The Mussoorie Lake is a man-made lake from where you can enjoy mesmerizing views of the Doon Valley. There are pedalled boats as well that you can enjoy. The Kempty Falls is yet another awe-inspiring sight and a popular picnic spot. It is surrounded by high mountain ranges. Several shops around sell fancy trinkets and lip-smacking local food.
Then, continue your drive to Barkot and upon arrival, check into the hotel to have dinner and spend the overnight.
Kickstart your day with lots of excitement and a healthy breakfast. Today you will need all your energy for you will be driving to Jankichatti or Phoolchatti after which you will undertake a beautiful trek to Yamunotri. It is set about 3,293 metres above the sea level. You may also choose to ride on the back of the horse. For elderly people, there is also a hand-driven cart available.
You will be visiting the Jamunabai Kund’s before finally reaching the Yamunotri temple, where you can let its warm waters soak away your fatigue. There are a number of other thermal springs as well near the temple.
The temple stands proudly with its gigantic mountain peaks, glaciers and gushing waters of Yamuna. Before entering the temple, make sure to see the Divya Shila which is a rock pillar worshipped by all devotees. The temple is devoted to Goddess of River Yamuna, the second most sacred river in the country.
After visiting the temple, trek back to Jankichatti. Drive your way back to the hotel in Barkot and spend the night at the hotel.
On this day of your Char Dham Yatra package from New Delhi, finish your breakfast earlier and check out from the hotel in Barkot. A 4 hour drive will take you to Uttarkashi. Also called as Devbhumi, Pilgrims from all across globe flock to this region to witness its religious heritage.
On you way, Visit Shiv Gufa. There is a naturally formed Shivling at the underground cave. It is filled knee-deep water and the route is not for the faint hearted.
Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check in at the hotel and get ready to explore the nearby places. Start by visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is one of the oldest Shiva temples in the northern part of India. Admire the ancient architectural style of construction. You can also visit the Shakti Temple which is set right in front of the Vishwanath temple. It features a huge Trishul whose upper part is presumably made of iron and the lower part from copper.
Return back to the hotel in the evening, have dinner and enjoy a peaceful sleep at the hotel in Uttarkashi.
This day is packed with various things to do. Start your day early, have breakfast and head out for a day’s excursion to Gangotri. It is one of the main religious places among the four Char Dham pilgrim areas. Enroute, halt at Gangnani to take a dip in Garam Kund- its famous hot water spring.
Next, continue driving to Gangotri where you will come across the scenic Harsil Valley. Famous for its natural splendour, this valley is an unspoiled and hidden jewel of the state. Continue your drive to Gangotri and upon arrival, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganga. Do not miss out on the aarti that takes place here. Soak in the surroundings and unwind here for there is ample scope for people seeking peace and serenity.
Then, drive back to Uttarkashi later in the evening and spend the rest of the night at the hotel.
After a healthy breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guptkashi. Mythology states that the Pandava brothers while searching for a glimpse of Lord Shiva, found him at Guptkashi. The temperature here always remains pleasant and ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius.
Enroute you can see the striking river Mandakini at Tilwara. Its origin is in Kedarnath and you may drive alongside its route to reach Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. As the name suggests, the presiding idol in the temple denotes half man and half women- indicating Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
The drive to Guptkashi will take you through a thick layout of beautiful magnolia trees. It adds a sweet scented atmosphere to the place. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest for the night.
A beautiful day awaits you on the seventh day of your religious Char Dham Yatra tour. On this day, you will have a filling breakfast at the hotel and head out to explore Kedarnath.
Our representative will transfer you to your pre-booked Helipad or if you wish to trek, then you will be escorted to Sonprayag, as per your preference. From Sonprayag, a local jeep will take you to Gourikund and you can trek your way to Kedarnath.
Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva and the shrine at the temple is over a thousand years old. The temple is built of massive stone slabs in the Rudra Himalaya range. Due to its high altitude, the weather in Kedarnath always remains cold. Hence, woollen wear is recommended. The neighbouring views of the temple and the peaks with perpetual snows is simply enthralling.
Return back to Sonprayag in the evening, and head back to the hotel in Guptkashi. Spend the night in the cosiness of the hotel room.
Start your day early with a healthy breakfast and check out from the hotel in Guptkashi. A scenic car drive will take you to Badrinath where upon arrival, you will check in to the hotel and venture out for some quick sightseeing.
Start by visiting the Badrinath temple. You will have to take a dip in the Taptkund. These are natural thermal springs having curative properties set on the bank of the river Alaknanda. It is a necessity to do so before you enter the Badrinath temple.
Next, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Mana village where the Indo-Mongolian tribe reside. Spend time with locals and take a glimpse of their culture. It is also the last Indian village settlement before Tibet. Bhum Pul is set on the other end of Mana village where a massive rock forming a natural bridge. The roaring Saraswati river flows right below and it is a breath-taking site to see.
Then, visit the Vyas Gufa. This is also situated in close proximity to Mana village. The Vyas Gufa is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is said to have written the Mahabharata and the puranic commentaries.
Return back to the hotel and spend a comfortable night in Badrinath.
Have an early morning breakfast and meet our representative after checking out from the hotel in Badrinath. Commence your journey for Rudraprayag. Located on the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers, this settlement is a treat for the eyes.
You will be travelling via Joshimath, which is yet another sacred place and the winter seat of Lord Badri. Visit the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath whose deity is said to be the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Continue your drive to the stunning town of Rudraprayag. The entire region is blessed with abundance of natural beauty, sites of religious importance, sacred lakes and glaciers.

On the 10th day of your tour, start your morning with a scrumptious breakfast after which, you will check out from the hotel. Start your road journey from Rudraprayag to Haridwar via the beautiful holy town settlement of Rishikesh. Set on the banks of river Ganga, Rishikesh surrounds itself by forested hills.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and head out to explore the city. Start by visiting the Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula. These are suspension bridges located across the river Ganges. It is one of the most iconic landmarks of Rishikesh. If time permits, you can also visit the mesmerising temples in town such as the Lakshman Temple, Raghunath temple and Trayambakeshwar temple.
Continue your drive to Haridwar in the evening and upon arrival, check in and spend the overnight in warm comfort of the hotel room.
