Itinerary

This is the start point of a beautiful trek route that will take you to Yamunotri. It is set about 3,293 metres above the sea level. If you are not up for trekking in the mountains, you may also choose to ride on the back of the horse. An option for a hand-driven cart is also available for pilgrims. You will be visiting the Jamunabai Kund on your way, just before reaching the Yamunotri temple. At the kund, take a dip and let its warm waters refresh you. There are a number of other thermal springs as well nearby.
Then, head to the temple. At the entrance, you will see the Divya Shila which is a rock pillar worshipped by all devotees. The Yamunotri temple, as the name suggests is devoted to Goddess of River Yamuna.

The temple town is set at a height of 1319 m. Upon arrival, first head to visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. As the name states, the idol showcases half a body of man and another half of a woman, representing Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. After you seek blessings, head to the hotel, check in and spend the overnight comfortably in Guptkashi.

Upon arrival, you will check in to the hotel and venture out for some quick sightseeing. First and foremost, visit the Badrinath temple. But before you enter, you must take a dip in the Tap Kund. It translates to hot water spring that is set on the bank of the river Alaknanda. It is a necessary protocol to do so.
Then, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Spend time here interacting with the Indo-Mongolian locals and understand their culture. Bhum Pul is located on the other end of Mana village. It is a famous spot owing to a large rock that forms a natural bridge.
Then, visit the Vyas Gufa. This is also situated in close proximity to Mana village. It is said that Ved Vyas wrote the Mahabharata here and the puranic commentaries.
