Then, check out from the hotel and hop in the car to drive to Barkot. The panoramic views of the mountain ranges and lush grasslands makes the long drive worth it.

The route from Haridwar to Barkot will take you from the mystical hill town of Mussoorie. Home to dense forests of deodars, quaint café’s, hill viewpoints, ancient temples and colonial houses dot the mountainside. Spare some time for sightseeing and visit the Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Waterfalls.

The lake is an ideal spot for boating and bird watching. The falls on the other hand are great for tourists who love a rush. The water cascades from a massive height and forms a pool where people can jump in and have a fun time.

After visiting all the local sightseeing places in Mussoorie, continue your journey to Barkot. As soon as you reach, check in at the hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.

A new day calls for a quick start. Have breakfast and head out for a day excursion to Yamunotri. Our representative will drive you to the Jankichatti / Phoolchatti from where you will start to trek your way to the Yamunotri temple.

The trek is an easy one covering 6 kms each side. If you are not comfortable travelling on foot, you can choose to ride on the back of a horse or in the palanquin. Before you enter the temple, have a
bath in the Surya kund- a natural thermal water spring. There are many other pools too but the Surya Kund is the most significant of all. You must also pay your respects at the Divya Shila – a huge rock pillar.

Then head to the temple. This gem of a place has one of the best-kept secrets of Indian mythology. In the evening, enjoy the unparalleled vistas of nature and trek back down to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti.

Make your way back to the hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner meal and retire for the night.

A 4-hour appealing drive will take you to Uttarkashi. It is also known as Devbhumi- the land of the Lords. The first halt you will make will be at Shiv Gufa. It is popular for housing a naturally formed shivling. The water dropping right above it has no real source and it just miraculously falls upon it.

Then, continue driving to Uttrakashi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and head out to explore the nearby attractions. First, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is one of the oldest Shiva temples and the ancient architectural style of construction is something you will marvel at.

Then, head to the Shakti Temple which is set right in front of the Vishwanath temple. You will see a huge Trishul whose upper part is made of iron and the lower part from copper.

Spend your time here visiting the ancient temples and also shop for some unique gift items from the local outlets. Then, head to see the giant Lakshman Jhula suspended from 70 feet above the majestic river Ganga. It is said to be built in the exact same spot where Lord Lakshman crossed the river. After sightseeing, head to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest in the cosy room.
