Known as the Jorhat Airport (JRH) or Rowriah Airport, this airport offers a large number of daily flights to cities like Guwahati, Kolkata, and Delhi. Major air carriers like IndoGo and Air India offer regular flights to and from this airport. If you are planning to reach Jorhat by air, you can easily book your flights from either of these airports and reach your final destination.

In case, you are not able to book air tickets to Jorhat Airport, you can also opt for other airports to reach Jorhat by air. Dibrugarh Airport (DIB) in Dibrugarh and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati would be the two best alternate airports to reach Jorhat by air. Trains such as the Jan Shatabdi Express and Intercity Express ply this route routinely.

If you wish to reach Jorhat by train from Guwahati, you can book train tickets for the Jan Shatabdi Express. This journey will take you nearly 7-8 hours. On the other hand, if you wish to reach Jorhat by train from Dibrugarh, you can opt for Dibrugarh-Jorhat Intercity Express. The train journey will take you around 4 hours to reach Jorhat. Tinsukia-Jorhat Town Intercity Express is also a good option to reach Jorhat by train from Tinsukia Town in Assam.

How to Reach Jorhat by Road:

For those planning to reach Jorhat by road, they must follow the NH-37 as this National Highway connects the city with other corners of Assam and India as well. Here are some of the popular cities and destinations in Assam that are well-connected with Jorhat via NH-37:

Jorhat to Guwahati: 310km/7 Hours (via NH 37)

Jorhat to Dibrugarh: 138km/3-4 Hours (via NH 37)

Jorhat to Tezpur: 200km/4-5 Hours (via NH 37)

Jorhat to Kaziranga: 87km/2 Hours (via NH 37)

You can either board the government-run ASTC buses or book the private buses to reach Jorhat by road. Private cars and self-driving vehicles are also available from most of these places to reach Jorhat by road.
