Before proceeding back to Shillong, there is a beautiful waterfall called Elephanta Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by greenery. This is a good place to take some beautiful and rather quiet photos. Next, continue to Shillong Peak, the highest peak in Shillong. It has marvelous views of Shillong city and the nearby areas—the valleys. The views you get at the top are very beautiful and complete the circle of your sightseeing for the day. If time is available, then take a trip to the famous Kamakhya Temple, which is one of the famous pilgrimage temples in India. The temple of the Kamakhya deity is located on Nilachal Hill, and from there, the whole city and the river Brahmaputra can be seen.
